Many thanks to my Voxy Neighbor and IRL S Factor friend, Fachowna, for posting this first.
Go to NIN.com to input your email and get a message with a link to the downloads (multiple formats available).
Also, in case you haven't heard, NIN will be touring this summer. There's a different page (select the Performance link, from the NIN.com main page) to see the dates and input your email to get in on the fan presale - which will involve printing the buyer's name on the ticket and ID required to use the ticket, in order to prevent resale.
Natalie wasn't even playing the game. Just found this on her blog and thought "Yes, THAT'S IT!!"
If I can channel the same vibe it's giving me now, it will probably be my "farewell" song for last class Mon night.
I wish we could wear wireless headphones while we dance - I don't think the stereo will get the song loud enough for me to connect to it as well.
If I'm feeling REALLY ballsy, I'll ask to have someone be my point of focus, dancing to them while imagining them as someone else. Maybe Michelle or Megan - I don't think anyone else is ready for that kind of intensity (but I'll probably chicken out on the idea so it doesn't really matter). Would love to do the entire song but it's 6 min and I'll be cut off around 3.5.
Now with added song instead of link to link to link to song:
AudioLeenda decides VIDEO: Congrats, you're the radio DJ! What six songs are in your first on-air set?
Submitted by LeendaDLL.
Guess I should answer my own VoxHunt, huh? I'd also like to clarify that this was ON-AIR set... not "what are the first 6 songs in your ipod playlist for your own little ears?" Just sayin..
Today, I would compose this story:
- Devo - Girl You Want
- She Wants Revenge - Tear You Apart
- Depeche Mode (or Marilyn Manson) - Personal Jesus
- NIN - Closer
- Annie Lennox - Why
- The Clash (or Annie Lennox) - Train in Vain
will post Closer as soon as YouTube sends my login info to me cause you have to be 18+ to view it.
take a minute and figure it out when you get there
also, from a note attached to the CD case:
1-866-445-6580 i dare you to call
I love that I can't get my ass out of bed 30 min "early" to attend office meetings but left an hour early today to ensure I had enough time to swing by a store and pick up a copy of Year Zero.
So far (track 9), I LOVE IT. But, then again, NIN could release a CD of nothing but white noise and I'd consider it brilliant.
If you buy the physical CD, check it out before after play - it's coated in heat reactive ink.
