Audio: Share a song you could listen to all day on repeat.
Thinking of using it for S Factor tonight. It doesn't really fit the assigned theme ("Volcanic Eruption") and would probably be better for dancing at home. But it sure puts me in a good place mentally - the question is whether or not it would do the same in class.
Next Monday's solo dance theme is "Volcanic Eruption".
I'm thinking I'd like a song that starts slow, but sensual (remember, this is strip/pole workout), then goes really high energy and aggressive. I prefer NIN and MarilynManson, some DepecheMode, but have danced to just about everything, by each of them, that works for class.
- Update: Sexy lyrics help but not a lot as I've found that I don't hear them, not a all, once the music starts. I hear the music, and the beat, sometimes the tone of the singer's voice (but not often); never ever the specific words.
- Below is a sample of the kind of 'angry" music that I like. Again, while the words are great it's the music/beat that I'm really following.
Suggestions, anyone?
Done all the standards... lots of NIN ("Closer", in fact just about everything from Downward Spiral, and "Capital G" from Year Zero), Depeche Mode ("Personal Jesus", etc), Marilyn Manson, Bon Jovi (not my pick), Paul Oakenfold "Faster Pussycat Kill"; Goldfrappe "Strict Machine", Timberlake "Sexy Back", Gorillaz "Every Planet We Reach Is Dead", Evanscence, SWR.
I need new music for class!!
Currently looking at remixes of Seal's recording of "Killer" but haven't found one that will work. The best music is a bit "sultry" with a good bass line.
Taking suggestions/links in comments. I tend to prefer aggro/aggressive music (NIN, Massive Attack, etc) and more club/techno stuff but am open to any ideas. Bonus points for unusual but workable suggestions!
Note: I don't have iTunes so please don't link to that.
Kthx.
grainy vid but i think the classic dance moves make up for it
