Today's new video from Kelly!! (day late for me)
this is fucking brilliant video mashup - made even better by watching Britney attempt to pole dance after last night's Instructor Demo.
The newest from Kelly. Diana Yanez, who plays Maria in this, was also in the Margaret Cho variety show, The Sensous Woman, that I saw in Hollywood couple weeks ago.
Bummed Liam changed out of Kelly persona but he is insanely nice. Seems kinda surprised to be regarded as a celeb. Doesn't he look all of... 17>>... 21??... in this pic? He has not, at all "gone Hollywood".
btw: he's holding the ticket that both Margaret Cho and he (as both Liam and Kelly) signed for me. And he thought it was great that my uber-Morman coworker's 9yr old SON sings "Shoes" around the house. I'm certain his mom hasn't seen the vid.
I bought a ticket to a Margaret Cho "burlesque/caberet/variety" show, "The Sensuous Woman" that's being prepped for Broadway. Kelly is part of the show. Margeret does a burlesque performance - pictured below. (Can you believe that's her?? I remember hearing something else about her and wondering if she's doing S Factor).
It's at the Renburge Theater... at the LA Gay/Lesbian Center. Tix are $25 + $3.50 handling. Only 3 dates still availble (Sep 6, 7 and 13). Tix here. This is the only info I can find about the show:
A true entertainment pioneer, Cho is currently developing "The Sensuous Woman," a burlesque-style variety show starring Margaret and featuring an impressive line-up of the country’s most renowned burlesque performers along with hilarious stand-up and sketch comedy from emerging artists. Featured performers include Princess Farhana, Ian Harvie, Selene Luna, Liam Sullivan as Kelly, Sir Ryan Heffington, Miss Dirty Martini, Diana Yanez and Kurt Hall. "The Sensuous Woman" is currently workshopping in LA. Catch it for a week in Chicago in Sept, before it goes to New York for a limited off-broadway run at the Zipper Factory. Tickets and show info available at MargaretCho.com. Says Cho, "There’s a lot of gender swapping and gender play. It’s the gayest show you could have with women stripping in it."
I'm going on Sept 7. If anyone wants to meet up, lemme know.
Of course I'm gonna try to get a picture with Kelly.
You love to hate the video. The show won't be just Kelly. It will be a variety of stuff by Liam, the person behind "Kelly" - but also "Kelly" (and premiere of the new Kelly video "Let Me Borrow That Top").
Tix are $25 full price. On 2-for-1 sale today. But I don't have a "2" to take - so I might as well wait, pay full price at the door, and skip all the ticketmaster fees.
But that doesn't answer the question.... should I go to the show in the first place? House of Blues, Hollywood, on Sat the 25th. I don't expect it too be good. I do expect the crowd to be interesting.
