Still sucking
- I did nothing last night and since I was (for once) very exciting about going out, I am still COMPLETELY RESENTFUL about it not working out and nothing magically appearing to make staying home feel worthwhile. Sure, given the "dense fog advisories", I made the right decision - better safe than sorry. That doesn't change the fact that I was full of energy and anticipation and looking forward to partying - but ended up alone in my living room.
- I didn't have any champagne. I did try the Ciapirinha liquor again, Cachaca... still tasted like dog pee to me. Won't be drinking any more of that! I quickly switched to a "Caipirissima" instead (same mix, but rum for the liquor) and that was tolerable... but I really should have had some champagne.
- I had severe insomnia till 8am, when I finally fell asleep on the sofa. I woke up, painfully, thinking it was 11am but it was actually 1:30p.
- For the duration of that insomnia, I had an earworm of Fallout Boy's lyrics (just these ones, on repeat): I don't care what you think, as long as it's about me. The best of us can find happiness in misery.
- I have spent an unseemly amount of time annoyed that the neighbor (bark.bark.bark) parked his car in front of my house (he has a 2 car garage and 3 to 4 car driveway - why does that car need to be on the street? and why not in front of HIS house?) and fantasizing about propping large nails so he's certain to run over them. I won't do it, cause it's wrong and could cause a blow out that would hurt people, but I won't stop fantasizing about it either.
- Throughout the night, and into this morning, I got txt messages from numbers I didn't recognize cause they were people I haven't heard from in so long that I removed them from my contact list. What do you supposed made these people think of me at midnight but at no time before?
- I didn't remember to hide any money outside so that I could start 2009 by bringing money into my home (it's supposed to be a good fortune trick).
- I tapped my savings last night - for a good reason, workouts, but it still sucked to do it. Since I haven't found anything else yet, and I need longer workouts, and a $40 discount was expiring at midnight, I signed up for a session of S Factor Level 2 (I've been as high as L5). I reviewed the L2 weekly assignments and it turns out that all of their tricks are one's that I've never been able to do. So it will be interesting to be waaaaay better than the other students at "the routine" but suck more than all of them at new tricks. Or maybe I'll magically get them this time. First class is this Sunday at 4p... ugh. I've really been enjoying being a slug and was planning to do it that day too. That's the time slot when I used to take a 1 hr class. I'm glad that I already decided to do a 2 hr class cause the 1 hr instructor changed to someone I like personally, but can't stand as an instructor.
- Pretty much the only reason I'm forcing myself to be awake right now is so that I can go see "The Party" at 6pm.
- Oooh... who was that total hottie that just walked past my house? Shame on me for not running out to say hello!
So, welcome to 2009. Based on other posts, I see that it's not quite living up to the hype for anyone else yet either. I'm hoping that's a good thing... 2008 started off pretty well for me but didn't exactly hold the trend (it wasn't bad but also not stellar). Maybe if a year starts poorly, it has nowhere to go but up.
