- Latest order from OldNavy, 2 pair of jeans in size 18 reg, arrived. Tried them on. The "flair" leg ones fit. But the "bootleg" ones got stuck at my calve. That was a first! Bootleg cut that was so narrow that I couldn't get it over my CALF?? WTF? Need to return. Will debate about the flair version... though I can get them on, the waistband is too large in front & back. Sure, they were inexpensive and make me feel good but I can afford jeans that fit properly.
- Great workout. Did a bunch of flying body spirals. Did the "falling forward" spin that scares lots of people. Did other random stuff. Then, without warning, suddenly couldn't do any of it anymore. I stopped before I got into failure mode - which would follow me around for awhile.
- Stopped at the schmancy little market on the way home and bought some prepared meals. LOVE this place!! Something about their food is so satisfying that I'm able to eat just a few nibbles then walk away. Do you have any idea how amazing that is? So, though the prices are on the high side of normal, the fact that I don't scarf the food and then scarf a bunch more is making it a total bargain. I might head by their main store tonight.
- Driving home, I spied gas at lower and lower prices. Upon seeing $3.99/gal at Mobil (where I can use my speedpass), I drove like a crazy woman to get into the station and fill up. Literally - cut a 90 degree turn across 2 lanes of traffic. Surprised even me. Fortunately, I retained enough sanity to actually check traffic first and knew there were no cars withing 2 blocks of me.
- I was pretty freaked out upon getting to the office of the premier eye doc I saw. It was in a rather scary asian strip mall. Inside was PACKED with people.... very "free clinic" feeling. I kept debating about leaving and making an appt at his fancy office in Newport Beach. But all was fine - just not what my upper middle class ass is used to.
- They didn't give me those super dark "film" sunglasses after dilating my eyes... even though they said they would. By the time I realized it, I was too lazy to walk the 2' back into the office and ask for them.
- The Nordstrom Rack in Long Beach is scary/icky. But they still have great deals on Calvin Klein pillows and high thread count sheets.
- Realized I have been having bad dreams nearly every night for the past 2 weeks.
- I get a stupid little thrill from changing clothes at my desk after hours. No one's here but it still feels exhibitionistic
- Got a last minute call that workout was being cancelled due to plumbing problems at the studio
- Changed clothes, from workout back to work, at my desk again
- Stopped at the mall and returned my beeuutiful, soft, but way to high, Micheal Kors shoes to Nordstrom. $68 credit.
- I bought $100 in MAC makeup.
- Returned the stupid OldNavy jeans to the store. My first time in an OldNavy store - EVER. I had no idea they carry XXL in the stores. $13 credit for the jeans. $120 charge for new clothes... mostly workout stuff... and another dress (it doesn't fit totally right but it makes my tits look FANTASTIC).
- Decided I will DEFINITELY be clearing old clothes, especially old holey sleepwear, out of my closet. I make a decent living - it's time I start looking like it.
- Got home, re-tried on everything from OldNavy. Only 1 shirt is tentatively going back.
- Discovered that another order of OldNavy stuff, $50, is all returnable to a store.
- Booted up PC to look up something. Windows is completely disabling the monitor when it launches. I don't know what the hell is going on. Reboot a billion times - never recovers. Shut it down and let it have a rest.
- At "apple/walnut" salad from the schmany store. No dressing and it was still one of the best salads EVER. ZOMG, I think that place may be the key to potential weight loss.
- Discovered the high humidity has caused me to break out in little bitty pimples all over my face, particularly around my mouth. One little cluster looks very much like a herpes cold sore (it is NOT!). Not exactly great for my weekend social life... though an interesting option for "reverse screening" guys who don't pay attention to STD warning signs.
- Booted up the laptop again. It recovered but was still a bit pissy. I'm short on memory. Have 6GB available (50-some total) but the system wants more. Need to investigate an upgrade - or new computer. Did some compression & defrag for now; will be removing files tonight.
- Decided to put on my new MAC makeup for my ScotchPants wedding toast pic. Total fail!! At one point, I had black eyeliner on my forehead. (don't ask) Finally coordinated everything and am loving all the products I bought.
- Leave for work and am horrified to see a literally truck load of kid's toys (including an electric SUV) being moved in across the street. Spoiled kids... just what I don't need living across the street from me.
- Wearing one of my new OldNavy shirts. Don't like that it lets my fat lower abs show (in fact, kind emphasizes them) but... oh well... it was easier than finding an outfit that really works and the shirt is really comfy.
- Checked my checking account. One week after payday, and I have $12... with a $10 charge pending. Credits from last night's returns not even pending yet. I transferred over some money from my house-repairs fund - cause I think I'm not done shopping yet.
- No plans for the weekend.
- Guess I'll go do my job now. Pre-timestamping this so my ScotchPants toast stays in primary spot on my home page.

what's the fancy market you've been frequenting??? i love food that's already made for me. hehe.
sorry for the bad dreams. that blows.
Their main store is on 17th, across the street from LaCave. I think that's 17th/Westcliff & Irvine Blvd.
Just last night I was walking around in my new PJ pants thinking, "I bet I could totally get away with wearing these to the office!"
