QotD: Do Not Want (To Eat) - updated
What do you absolutely refuse to eat?
Wow... how much time have you got?
- Any & all forms of seafood, freshwater fish, and all things like that. Yes, that includes tuna, lobster, crab, etc.
- Shredded coconut (I love coconut creme & flavor [Malibu rum!!] - just hate the texture of the real stuff)
- Pork (never liked the stuff [except bacon - i luv bacon!!] and recently learned I'm allergic to pork).
- Lamb, rabbit, veal, & pretty much all meats except beef, turkey & chicken
- Processed "pieces/parts" meat foods: bologna, bratwurst, chorizo, etc. (I will admit to eating 2 or 3 hotdogs a year - though it's usually only after mass quantities of beer)
- Mushrooms ("what's this piece of rubber doing in my food?")
- Cauliflower
- Bell peppers (all colors - they make me super sick)
- Cilantro (it tastes like soap!!)
- Olives (bleech!!)
- Raw onions
- Raw garlic
- until very recently - DONUTS (they leave this weird pasty ick on the roof of my mouth. i still eat a max of 2 or 3 a year)
- Jalapeno-flavored anything
- Regular waffles (belgian waffles are okay) (my mom made disgusting waffles - turned me off them permanently)
- Anything that smells bad from 10' away (kimchee, sourkraut - and, again, seafood)
- Brussels sprouts
- Alfalfa sprouts
- Menudo
- Pickled stuff (though, oddly, I will eat some types of pickles)
- Squab (the one time I tried it I said, "that's exactly what I imagine a rat would taste like!")
- Carrot cake
- Anything I had so much of in the 70s that I never want to see it again, no matter how good it tastes (granola, banana nut bread, raw green apples) (I only recently returned to eating watermelon & non-green apples)
- Plain grits (can you say "elementary school paste"?)
- Ginger (just thinking about it is making my stomach hurt)
- "FAIR FOOD": funnel cakes and all other manner of deep fried stuff that shouldn't be (oreos, twinkies, avocados, snickers bars, etc)
- Marinated artichoke hearts (wtf are those about? artichokes = good. "marinating" them in strangely "enhanced" oil = ICK)
- Anything "chili/lime" flavored (most especially frresh fruit w/lime juice & chili powder)
- Cooked zucchini (raw or steamed is okay - but once it goes mushy, I'm out)
- Anything from, by, in, or bearing the logo of Starbucks
- Swiss chocolate in general; Lindt brand chocolate specifically. (I love almost all other forms, brands, origins of chocolate - but there's something about swiss chocolate that I find gross (and waxy))

that's what I assumed... and why I still don't like most donuts.
it noticed the feeling it leaves is exactly the same as an under-ripe/green banana (which is why I also won't use Tom's natural banana toothpaste).
i knew i spelled the kraut wrong... but i hate it so it's okay.
Gawd, the amount of apples we used to have (we had trees). I have a mental image of the refrig crisper drawers ALWAYS being overstuffd with green apples. I can tolerate applesauce - but prefer not. back in Jan, after the hospital, the FGNs bought some single packs of it for me (part of my restricted diet). they're all still in the fridge (but in the CHEESE drawer - haha!!). i can't quite bring myself to get rid of them cause they haven't expired. maybe i'll abandon them at work next week (there's a good idea!!).
