Is it over yet?

Not completely. I still have to shower & dress and head to my boss' for dinner. I have a little over an hour to get ready. Showering & dressing are no problem - but drying my hair and putting on makeup... lord, that could take 2 days by itself!

But, other than that, yes... I think the hoopla is finally over. Yay!!

Today has been a mixed bag of weather. Showers followed by sun followed by more showers. I was soooo certain it was going to be nice today! This only the 4th or 5th time I remember rain on Christmas day in my life. There's probably been more - but that's all that I remember. And it's still nice enough for kids to try out bikes and skates and whatnot... if there were any kids around here (I haven't seen one; assume they all went other places for the holiday).

The neighbor (bark.bark.bark) and his girlfriend were driving me up a wall this morning, apparently packing for dinner somewhere snowy ("did you pack your snowboard?" "I can't believe you made this pie; it's the most perfect pie I've ever seen!" - both the gf talking to the guy. She wouldn't shut up about that pie (yet managed to never say the flavor!). She lives with him so I don't get the total ego overkill). I assume they're gone now... as are 90% of my neighbors... but, naturally, that does not include the ones with the boom box cars with bass so loud that it rattles their bumpers (I'm sure they're legally deaf now).

I should be getting ready but it's just so nice in here right now - heat on, kitties all sound asleep. I want to be back in bed with them. I actually considered cancelling on dinner, just to sleep some more, but decided that would be lame.

Okay... I'm gonna chug my coffee and get in the shower. I hope you're all having a wonderful day, got all kinds of goodies you wanted, and are currenly OD'd on sugar. Merry happy feliz
