I need strip/pole dance music ideas

Comments

Hi there.......

Here are a few ideas for some sexy songs:

Dissolved Girl by Massive Attack. Do you believe by The Cardigans. Dontcha by The Pussycat Dolls. Time is running out by Muse. Give it to me by Nelly Furtado, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake. Me & U by Cassie.

Have lotsa fun and let me know how it goes......!

All the best.

done the Massive Attack; will look into the rest. Thanks!

how about The Figurehead by The Cure...or,if you're feeling especially angry, Velvet Acid Christ's cover of it..
there's also the possibly fittingly titled lust by velvet acid christ..
Pleeeeeeease no Pussycat Dolls!! Please!!

If you've done Massive Attack, look at Portishead and Tricky. Same drum n' bass genre.
oh.. here's a video of the figurehead, so you can hear what it sounds like..

soooooooo not a problem!

i'll check out the others. I know Portisheads' name so I think I've got something by them somewhere. Tricky is new to me.

yeah for The Cure! I like "the figurehead" - it would be a bit of a challenge cause it stays so slow (songs that start slow then develop a lot of drive at the first chorus work REALLY well) but I'm willing to give it a try.

the dominant beat in Lust is too fast for me. a dancer in a club could probably pull it off but not me. Sounds a lot like Rob Zombie, who also has some good stuff.

thanks for the ideas & links!!

oooooh.... liking "Tricky" a LOT!! "Evolution Revolution Love" and "Broken Homes" would both be good for a slow assignments.

we knew I recognized Portishead - we use "glory box" during warmup.

Hawksley Workman's Striptease is good. Or the new(ish) mix of Black Betty I've been hearing at clubs a lot. I've been listening to a lot of Amon Tobin lately; some of that might be good, if you're liking Portishead/Tricky/Massive Attack -- maybe Fatass Joint or Killer's Vanilla or Big Furry Head ... ? For something weird, Tom Wait's Dog Door or Lie to Me (both off the big Orphans Brawlers and Bastards set) have good hip-thrustin' beats on them.

If you like industrial kinds of things, you might have a look for the Westbam Mix of Rammstein's Ich Will.

And the Cranberries' Pretty (off the Pret a Porter soundtrack) is great to dance to -- I saw a killer Latin duet (by two beautiful boys) done to it, and I groove to it in my kitchen all the time...

i think that it stays slow is part of what would be good about it.. its kind of an intense song.

what about KMFDM? something like anarchy isn't too fast, but its got a nice beat. i'd find a youtube video, but apparently youtube is retarded now - too many people making their own stupidass videos for songs and not leaving the real videos up.. grrr.
