Yay! does that mean it was *shudder* scabies?
I'm glad to hear you're less itchy, but even if you weren't, you could still commemorate Canada Day. We have itch-making skeeters and blackflies and poison ivy and...
I'm glad you are less itchy! :-)
Probably not but possibly so. As I understand it, if it was scabies I should have had a miraculous full recovery. I had about 50% reduction in rash and 90% reduction in itching. I'm pretty sure it was the combo of 3rd steroid shot and some brand new antihistamine she gave me (Xyzol or something like that). But, I also figured there's no harm in continuing the cream - even placebo effect is an effect!

I read up more on scabies... the mites have to have a human host or they die in 48 hours. Most often spread by skin to skin contact but can also be spread via sheets, towels, etc. Outbreak from first exposure can take something like 2 days to 4 weeks. Repeat exposures cause much more rapid outbreaks. So where would I possibly have been exposed in the last... month?!? I can't think of a thing - which reaffirms the not likely theory. But then again... who knows?!

If nothing else, this has proven educational! And the antihistamine gave me a great nights sleep - I actually woke up feeling refreshed. I don't say that often!
