Too bad I'm only allowed entry into potluck parties if I'm accompanied by my Best Meatballs Ever (tm). I would totally make up one of these for any occasion.
It could make an interesting meatball display!! LOL.

I have a big crockpot, so here's what I do:
1 12 or 16 oz jar of hot chunky salsa (Herdez is my fave)
1 12 or 16 oz jar of apricot preserves (I can't remember what size everything comes in)
Cinnamon
Stir, add frozen meatballs, preferably Armour (they are good at soaking up the sauce). Low for at least six hours for good soaking, four or less on high. I stir once in a while, but you really don't need to. This makes A LOT of liquid, so don't go for bigger jars of salsa or apricots. The key is enough time to be soaked through. [drools...]
Seriously, I'm only allowed to bring these and often am invited ONLY for the meatballs. Oh well, whatever I need to do to make friends. :-)
