1st "Project Angel Tree" Donation

[this is good]

Did you also get her some undergarments/clothes? Our SA requests that we do some necessary clothing along with the toy.

I bought gifts for two 6-month old boys for a foster kids program. I figured babies wouldn't be hard but I still ended up calling my mother when I was standing in the middle of the Target toy section.

She said, "At six months they can sit up and stick things in their mouths." I saw a package of soft blocks with a picture of a baby sitting up and gnawing on them, so that's what I bought. And some socks with dinosaurs on them. Rawr!

No clothing yet. Only 1 girl asked for that. I'll get her something but don't know what.

I do most of the clothing donations through other charity programs. We just had a "necessities of life" drive at work. And Justin Rudd's xmas campaign is "Bears & Beds" - teddy bears and beds for local low income kids who are currently sleeping on floors. Most of the $96,000 raised at the Turkey Trot will be going to that.

I usually throw in some socks, undies and maybe a sweatshirt. I don't think you get as chilly as we do in the winter (especially at night), but most of our kids don't have warm clothes when the temps drop.

Good idea - especially since HR just had me pick the gift back up. They originally told us "Unwrapped - put the top 1/2 of the tag on the gift." but it's now "Wrapped - put the bottom 1/2 of the tag on the gift." Since I need a box for this, I'll use some cutie socks as filler. Thanks for the idea!!
if it's not too late, I would say add a gift card for a music store, so she can pick up a CD for her CD player. no?
